    Krystals – no doubt.

    Wing Bowl – not even an eating contest. Great event, just not an eating contest.

    Big Daddy – c’mon

    Grilled Cheese – nah

    Brats – good contest, but no Krystal’s

    i would say the larado jalapeno peppers( before a crownd of 3-5 thousand) or the wing bowl. for what it worth I will be at both this year…don lerman

    Big Daddy is the best mark of a great speedeater. It combines all of the components of speed eating talent and one must properly meter them over a contest of 30 or so minutes. This includes:

    1) Different food substances.
    2) Speed-eating talent.
    3) Endurance capability / stomach capacity.
    4) Strategy / technique.
    5. Jaw strength.
    6. Some hand speed

    It really separates the men from the boys! It should is NO DOUBT be THE STANDARD!

    Krystals take no speedeating talent whatsoever. Look at Joey. He doesn’t even have to chew. Just open mouth wide, drop in food, let fall to stomach. Where’s the talent there? Even his hand speed is slew from the video.

    Nathan’s doesn’t deserve to have prestige. They are so cheap. Eaters should stay away until they start offering some bucks. Damn the TV coverage.

    Regarding the Brats, that food is so unhealthy — sweet-smelling death. I hope eaters don’t eat too many of them throughout the year. Otherwise the Brat winner will not live to spend the first prize money.

    Wing Bowl is a TOTAL FARCE. Sometimes the best eater wins. Sometimes he (or she) doesn’t. It depends on what’s scripted, and the scripts are initially planned, but played out spontaneously as needed. It’s much like the WWE.

    Form your wing bowl opinions after you go to it, even if as a spectator. If you ask the Shea’s what they’d like a contest to look like they’d probably say Wing Bowl with a 20-35 dollar admi$$ion.

    What are you talking about Big Daddy is not speed eating it is all endurance ask any eater. Also Krystal is very much a technique and rhythm thing. Joey simply makes it look easy. You only have 8 minutes to do your worst and that 8 minutes goes by quick.
