“America’s Biggest Eater” aims to be “American Idol” of eating
The facebook page for America’s Biggest Eater is accepting videos from amateur competitive eaters. Bill “El Wingador” Simmons will serve as host for the reality TV show, which has the following description:
Billed as “American Idol meets the Contender “, the show will feature “eat-offs” to narrow down a field of over 100 amateur eaters to ten finalists. The finalists will then compete in surprise elimination-style eating competitions for significant prizes, and the chance to be crowned by Elwingador as America’s Biggest Eater.

I think it’s time he breaks his deal with WIP and saves what little career he has left. Win or loose he’s still sinking to a new level by participating with these amatures. This is what happens when you leave MLE. As for this fake tv show (with no links) why not ask a real champion to host it. Let Wingador focus on his health and his kids. Isn’t that why he retired the first time, or was it the second time? The time he had a heart attack or will it be this time he looses and really gives up? Maybe they’ll all loose their creditability to the girl booted from IFOCE for wearing a wig to a burger contest? Give me a break already. This sport is becoming a bigger joke by the second.

Seiken should be hosting this show. I’m calling the network right now

On one hand, it seems fitting to have one of the world’s top CE amateurs—-surrounded by controversy to boot—-hosting a show devoted to recognizing other aspiring amateurs.
On the other hand, and perhaps I’m dead wrong here, I never thought of El Wingador as being much of a luminary in front of a camera or a mic. (I do actually like the guy, however.) So his choice as host bewilders me.

Roll on Rhonda, El Wingo has very little camera presence. But then reality tv is unreal. He would never be an MLE person but Wingbowl and such are different beasts. People like El Wing leave MLE for different reasons and I guess there is a certain brand of person for MLE, and it isn’t Wingador nor many others. Still hate that Kobi is part of this, he and his “manager” really have no idea what a horrible decision it was to align with Wingbowl.

Well at least El Wingador is a bonafide competitive eater. He did step up to a MLE table. He did win five Wing Bowls. At least it’s not like that Suzanne French chick who got a show and never won at anything in her life in competitive eating. By the way, what ever happened to Suzilla? I can find no reference to her on the Discovery website? Did they finally figure out that this was just a Dale Boone number four eater in the world scam? Did they actually cancel that crappy show after just one airing?

Why would they continue the show. in the first place if she couldn’t finish the sandwich in the shows big debut.? The whole concept is to start off with a splash but instead she drowned

She probably still did better than world champ Dale Boone would have.
