A press release about “Suzilla” cites Suzanne French’s #4 position in the World League of Competitive Eating (WLOCE) rankings. Here is an analysis of the top 5 on the WLOCE home page:

  1. Dale Boone, founder of the WLOCE
  2. Takeru Kobayashi, has never lost to Dale Boone or competed in a WLOCE contest
  3. Ron “Cash” Clark, broke Dale Boone’s record for the challenge at Hillbilly Hotdogs in Huntington, WV (which Boone later regained)
  4. Suzanne “Suzilla” French, two top 3 finishes in summer 2009 in WLOCE contests, finished tied for 8th in 2010 IFOCE Houston gyro contest
  5. Pete Czerwinski, has never lost to Dale Boone or competed in a WLOCE Contest

    Wait just one minute. Furious Pete demanded that his name be removed from WLOCE rankings . He wants nothing to do with Boone or any organization that Boone is affiliated with. Second, Kobayashi never gave Boone authorization to use his name in the rankings either. What kind of nonsense is this?

    Thanks for the time and effort OJ. The analysis helps put into perspective just how huge of an insult it is for Takeru and Pete to be compared to Dale Boone in any way, especially Koby. It’s like comparing Joey to Scott Bickel, but worse.

    WLOCE should stand for World Laughingstock of CE.

    I strongly doubt that this post will be removed and if you think that it is written by those you name, you are even more ignorant than I thought. I am none of those people, just a fan here but know a lot about competitive eating because I follow it. WLOCE IS a joke. You can enjoy whatever it is you are doing and good for you, but you do not have permission to use Kobayashi’s name and someone should tell him that he should insist that it be removed from your website. He probably doesn’t even know that it is there. Rhonda has it right.

    Koby does like 2 contests a year if that. Dale Boone goes year around and beats many more people than Koby, Pete, and thoes who claim to be better. Sorry. But Dale Boone has earn the title World Champion.

    I got it. Let all the eaters Boone has listed in the world league have an open or something like the U.S. Open that the I.F.O.C.E. did years ago which pitted members against one another in several different foods and see how Boone comes out.
