Expect Lefevre to brood and make excuses as to why he lost. That stuff tastes like crap anyhow

Two ounces in O.T. make it sound close. But I was there, and Joe’s victory was solid. Nothing sticking out of his mouth and no struggling to keep it down. Maybe it’s because he actually likes the stuff. Sonya did have it rough though; there was a good crowd cheering for Joey.

Myrtle Beach contest write. Congratulations to Humble Bob on the Victory! If you have to lose a contest to somebody it doesn’t hurt so bad when it’s the great eater like Bob. I still want to know how you got those Nachos down that quick like 20 seconds!!!

Bubba, you made it a very close contest. Overall it was an interesting format, but one that I would not prefer to do that often. The Nachos were from years of experience of ordering a plate of Nachos for myself with every meal. The shrimp were a new experience for me though.

Too bad it rained as the stage was nice. Wish we could have used it.

Overall, I think the four of us pros each had our own food that we did well on. I know Larry tore through those pralines. You took to the shrimp and Tim was doing fine on the hotdogs.

    Hey Mr. Negativity!

Why would I make excuses for why I “lost” in the Asparagus contest? I have never considered myself to be on a par with Joey Chestnut (when it comes to speed eating) or Sonya Thomas (when it comes to any kind of eating), especially when a lot of chewing is involved. I lost because they are more talented and for no other reason. As for the tough, stringy asparagus, it was the same for all of us.

Congratulations to Joey on the win! Does anybody know what kind of batter the asparagus is coated in? How was that first wiz after that much asparagus?

It was tempura batter. It was a jaw strength match, 4 minutes I got a wicked case of lock jaw.
