update 9:43 Sonya Thomas won with 140 wings in 10 minutes, Damien Boykin was the runner-up and Jon Bello was 3rd. The finals will be in New York City on July 28.

Sonya Thomas was present for John Daly certifying the wings this afternoon. (picture 1 | picture 2)

The contest is expected to start at 8 pm.

    Just because this says I hate everyone you all expect a bunch of negative stuff. Well, not today first think about puppies and kittens and a field of pretty flowers. Now doesn’t Sonya look beautiful in the pictures and if you look close, really close you can see her pretty little belly button. XOXOXO

    Juliet should have tried to copyright her “look.” She should be honored that now it seems that every female eater wants to copy her style. Love her or hate her, if nothing else, she brought sex appeal to CE. Pretty cool, Juliet!

    congrats of course, to Sonya, and I’m really happy for my man, Damien – YOMP! Sounds like I missed a good time with all my favorite Georgia area eaters….but spending my day with Clint Eastwood, Jason Timberlake, and Amy Adams was a decent consolation…yeah, just extra work, but, my son was also working with me., so I couldn’t pass it up!! Congrats to all you guys, hopefully – see you at the Charlotte Nathan’s qualifier

    They finally listed the cities in the Circuit:

    The Hooters Wing-Eating World Championship will make stops in Augusta, GA; San Jose, CA; New York, NY; Indianapolis, IN; Oklahoma City, OK; St. Louis, MO; Jacksonville, FL; and Atlanta, GA.

    Well as the King of Atlanta I would like to personally to challenge the King of Pops to come and compete against me for the title. I would also throw out there idea of Grace Lee vs Damien Boykin to lock up the title of pretties eater and King of Atlanta on the line. I like Grace and will be a statesmen and a scholar about the whole thing if MLE is down and she is lets get our wing on. Hey get a little press coverage out of this whole thing.
