No Lesley Rider or Ron Koch? No Stonie (again)? No Miki Sudo or Michelle Lesco? No Carlene Lefevre? They are all close by.

There needs to be fund to help MLE athletes pay for travel. Maybe up to $1,000, twice a year for travel to contests. At least for 11-50 who don’t win much money.

I would love to go up against Rich one more time but to go would be throwing money away on travel

If you’re ranked 11-50, you’re silly for signing that contract.

Fund? The eaters are too cheap to chip in for funds. Ask the Sheas? On second thought forget i even suggested that

I meant a fund not funded by the eaters, but by MLE or donations. When I was in grad school, we had a fund where you could get grants from two different graduate students organizations to present papers at up to two conferences or poster sessions or talks per year. I think there was a max of $700-$1,000 per trip.

2:12: The biggest things they have to offer, in exchange for signing, is going to Nathans for free (if you qualify) and also exposure via a national ranking system, updated at least yearly. Priority registration doesn’t mean that much.

As long as the fools with eating disorders be it fat or skinny that sign that stupid contract , the Shea’s will be in business

@3:45
Being ranked anything higher than 10 is a waste of time. Being on ESPN for 1/2 second isn’t worth a 3 year contract (if one actually ranked this high qualifies.)
Also- a newborn baby can eat more than some of the lower tiered eaters.
