The Baltimore Sun has an article about Joey Chestnut eating 230 wings in 57 minutes at Hooters, a personal record for a one hour session. He faced off against fans in 10 wing mini-contests and was defeated by Phil "The Fury" Fiore, founder of a competitive eating club at the University of Maryland in 2010.

Joey is expected to win (almost) all of the time. If he lost to two people in Baltimore, you have to remember that he kept going up against more and more people. It has been shown that except in hotdogs, he has been beatable. But he is a force to contend with. He has gotten better at interviews but could improve if coached, I think.

He was beaten by some scrub in Charlotte too. These people typically aren’t eating all the meat off the bone, Joey isn’t necessarily going at contest speed, and after 100+ wings he is going to slow down a bit anyway.
