Team USA appears to be represented by Bob Shoudt and Tom Gilbert. update Team Japan reportedly won its matchup vs. Shoudt/Gilbert Pat Bertoletti faced off against a blondish girl I had not seen before. update #2 Pat competed against Hitomi Sato. It appears Molly Schuyler faced off against Hatsuyo Sugawara.

    Right, the teams are four people, but they usually just have two on each team eating at one time (only two teams compete at a time against one another–like in a bracket format). Also one person representing the team vs. another person from a different team.

    I know the US beat Japan in the Battle of the Big Eaters 1 and 2. Not sure about the current one. Joe tried out for the team last year, I beleive, but weasn’t seelected. I’m sure he would be a great addition though. I never heard of Elizabeth Canady.
