Ben Livingstone won the first prize of $1000 in Saturday's Pie Wood Fired Pizza's Let Em Eat 8 in Muskoka, ON Saturday. Takeru Kobayashi did an exhibition before the contest.

    These weren’t even minor league eaters. It was a bunch of hicks from Northern Ontario. They gave 3 weeks notice for this competition and never said Kobayashi wouldn’t compete. It was the easiest $ 1000 prize ever .

    Ben Livingstone must be an incredible eater. MLE will be after him any day now. After all in one contest, yes 1 contest he has made as much or more then the following MLE, aka Major League, the real pros, the only pros, the rest are a joke…Top 20 eaters in 2017 according to the database here.

    There was no one at this competition. Piewood Pizza basically throws out money . It was poorly put together and 17 slices if pizza in 12 minutes is nothing great and a complete joke to award $1000. When Konica can eat 40 to 45 pizza slices in 12 minutes.

    I called Piewood Pizza almost every day starting in June asking when they would have their competition. They usually do it Monday of the August Long Weekend at a Rock Festival called Kapenfest at there Lake Barrie Restaurant . Every Time they told me they weren’t shure they would do it this year . Than finally I get a email in September telling me they will in fact be doing it and the contest is in 2 weeks in Northern Ontario which is far away from Toronto Airport. I live a 4 n half hour plane ride away from Toronto.

I live a 4 n half hour plane ride away from Toronto. With only 2 weeks to prepare, the air fare was through the roof so I decided I wouldn’t go . Then I find out that some guy called Ben Livingston wins with a mere 17 slices in 12 minutes. And That Ben gets $1000 To Boot . Man , that crushed me .
