Big Bad Bubba’s Doublewide 10 lb. burger (WV)
The Herald Dispatch announces that Hillbilly Hot Dogs in Huntington, West Virginia has introduced a 10 pound burger called Bubba’s Big Bad Doublewide. The burger costs $31.95 and requires one day’s notice. A video of the burger is also available and HuntingtonNews.com has an article with some pictures.
No time limit for getting the burger free is listed, but Hillbilly Hot dogs does have a one pound hot dog, the Homewrecker, which is free if it is eaten in under 12 minutes.

I’m the biggest fan of oversized food out there, but this thing looks horrible. The bun looks like a pancake. They need to build UP, not OUT (although I will admit from home experimentation that the flatter burger is easier to cook).

So many easy hot dog challenges, so little time. Why are the easy ones in places I’ll never visit?

I googled about the homewrecker hotdog. . .I believe when they say 1lb they mean 1lb worth of hotdog meat, but I believe it is topped with tons of crap, maybe around 3-4lbs total or so? There is a video of it on youtube called “Hillbilly Hotdog Homewrecker”. It looks pretty big, like a monster burrito. I think this would be pretty difficult for the average person in 12 minutes, so I doubt they are giving away too many of them free.

Most of us on this site aren’t average persons when it comes to eating

Of course, I think almost anyone who posts here could eat the thing with not much problem. I was more responding to Philly Guy, just saying they probably aren’t giving a lot of ’em away for free since most people don’t have appetites like us.

The big daddy luke burger is about 4 lbs total with 3 lbs of meat. The completion rate is about 50%, so its not that unbelievable.
