Good for Bob Shoudt. He made his decision to go independent, doesn’t do too many contests, has control over his eating competitively and his life.. Who gives a shit sounds like broken record Seiken, but we cannot be sure since so many are anonymous.

Definitely is broken record Seiken. So jealous of anyone’s success since he is a total failure, kicked out of MLE ranked at the bottom of the barrel.

The Goldstein cousins had to be the worst eaters ever to compete in MLE. The canoli and bologna champs practically competed against themselves to win those useless $2 trophies and titles with no prize money and werent they both thrown out ?

Doubt it’s Seiken . Shoudt was always considered a friend of his.

Competitive eating especially mle (notice i didnt capitalize) is a club for losers that fantasized about becoming something they could never become like a rock star musician , a pro sports athlete, so in their mind eating food that tastes like sand or leather or wings fried in week old wesson oil, at a table with other losers in life is considered a major accomplishment in their lives. Instead of being heralded as viable athletes which they arent anyway, they are being mocked and laughed at by spectators . Case in point is the loser from Plainview who in his mind believed he made it to the mountain top by getting 3 seconds of fame on ESPN when nobody cares or remembered who he was .

If I remember correctly, the Goldstein made the decision to leave MLE on their own terms. One just walked away and the other made a mockery of the MLE in his WingBowl entourage to get himself removed from the rankings. Both were smart to not hang around doing nothing as a #50 ranked eater but then again, they were much better than #50.

Ranked mle eaters are now judges in independent contests? MLE needs to be told about this and get paid for this contest from their contracted eater.

The only noteworthy accomplishment from one of the Goldsteins is a 2011 cash in Borgata tournament The other one accomplished nothing in his life except for an imaginary friend with the boat and a fake ranking he was never worthy of

Poker is much more exciting than competitive eating. Ok you run the risk of losing money but there is nothing better than running deep in a tournament with the chance of cashing in on 5 to six figures. Whats exciting about competing in an eating contest? Feeling sick to your stomach afterwards or getting goosebumps while jerking off at the same time because you got to compete against Joey Chestnut ? LOL

I hear that Seiken and Dave Goldstein were left off the invite list to his son wedding but Booker was invited. Wow talk about a spit in eye . I guess Seiken was not invited because he is too cheap to give a gift but what the excuse not inviting Goldstein?

The worst eater i ever saw beside Seiken is this guy by the name of Matthew Ventre He competed in a few wing and hot dog contests 5 or 6yrs ago . Huge Badlands Booker fan but a douchebag and a horrible eater . I hope he reads this

Has anyone seen US male latest burger king video? Man he looks fatter than ever in that blue shirt. I thought he was on some sort of health kick? Looks more like a blubber kick to me

US Male does not look fat! No blubber, come on and get real. He isn’t skinny like Koby and some others but fat, absolutely not. Look at his face. It is oval and slim. Get new glasses.

Dude you need a pair of glasses. The stomach has fat on it there are rolls not big rolls but there are rolls. In dire need of ab roller Maybe if he stands up and holds it in he might fool a few people but a six pack is years away if he can still run let alone walk when hes 70 LOL

Joe Menchetti used to feel sorry for Shoudt because his infant son was crying and held back so Shoudt could win, Now he stays away from contests he knows Shoudt will be competing in.

In his defense, if anybody leans over in that position as he is int he truck, the stomach will crunch together to look bigger. As a Facebook friend, I have seen many pictures lately and he looks pretty good. Still a big guy but thinned out. I am sure he is just eating that BK crap for the video only.

Wow posts not about Sieken. Excellent change. If Menchetti story is true, that would be interesting. OJ could probably solve. Oj could run a head to head between Menchetti and Shoudt. Did they ever even compete before Shoudt went indy? If they did, who won. End of story.

Wasnt it Goldstein who lost to Shoudt in the title rally of 2005 by one penne noodle? It was also an event in which Seiken was tricked into competing by the Sheas who fixed the event for Krazy Kevin knowing Seiken would have a rough time with escarole. If they tried pulling a move like that 10 yrs later a much older yet wiser Seiken would have told them to shove it and find some other sucker to eat that shit

AnonySeiken story is mostly true. At the Philly Coney Island qualifier in 03?, during the contest, I VERY briefly thought about letting Shoudt win, because of his young daughter, that was rooting him on. It didn’t mean that much to me, i’d already been to Coney twice and knew i’d have no chance of winning against Kobi. Hell, i’m STILL owed 60 lbs of hot dogs from that qualifier. But, it was just a fleeting thought during the contest. I believe Conti came in 2nd and Shoudt in 3rd that day.

I do not water train. Whatever I do in eating is natural. The closest I come to training is chewing gum. This is why others, who i’ve beaten in the past, may beat me now in longer events.

I do avoid contests that many eaters may be in, due to distance, prize money, real life, etc. Examples. Taco’s in Port Chester claim of $400. in prizes, (several gift cards. G.c’s are worth no more than half their value, and they weren’t clear as to where. Also, 20 minutes of taco eating?!

San Gennaro Cannolis. Huge hassle to get there. Nightmares of cut roof of mouth from prior cannolis. Only $250. a bit long, scheduled as 8 mins, don’t want to be stuffed all day…

Upcoming. Dumplings. I have to estimate the likelyhood of coming in the money against working the Uconn/Syracuse game. I had a similar issue last year, since I didn’t come in the money, I made the wrong choice. Probably a day of decision this year. I have been to 11 of the 12 so far, winning 7 times, in the money 2 more, dqd once and a bowl dqd another time. (the dq’s likely wouldn’t have happened if Bertoletti hadn’t been dqd in a prior heat, for leaving a mess everywhere)

The San Gennaro meatball contest will take place the same time as the dumpling contest. It says it will award prizes, but does not say what they are.

Heard there was a lengthy post I was involved in. Joe has told me this story in person. I remember the day, I think my daughter was sick that day, I don’t remember her crying. She absolutely did cry after Pat from Moonachie beat me in Philadelphia.

Joe and i look at CE the same way. After you have been in the paper once and on TV, these things are no longer our motivators. We look at each contest and view their “opportunity cost”. This is an economic term – the loss of potential gain from other alternatives when one alternative is chosen. (Yes it is many years since college and I looked up the definition ).

Is driving 4 hours to a contest and making $X worth more than doing something else?

For me if I can do other things in addition to the contest, then that helps. On Sunday I am doing Arni’s which is very hard to get to. However that night I am going to hang out in Chicago with friends.

Joe and I aren’t ducking anyone, we are just considering everything.

As far as the day that Joe “lets” me win, I don’t ever see that happening. He is too much of a competitor and I totally respect him for that.

As far as why people who don’t finish in the money compete, they are getting something they perceive as valuable out of the experience. Good for them and I totally support them. Well all except for Wing Kong, I never liked that guy. That is a joke as he is in my absolute favorite CE picture ever.

Good luck to all and I hope that you continue to do the things that you value regardless of other people’s opinions.

The last thing anyone wants to do is try and swipe tickets out of menchetti hands while hes scalping. The last person who tried it ended up beaten to a bloody pulp and 3 of his teeth knocked out. True story

Meatball contest is supposedly paying 250. The guy running it sounded a bit shady.
I won’t be doing either one. Like Menchetti and Bob I only do contests now out of convenience or if it’s All Pro.
