Thanks Don. I went through about 100 different songs and i thought the one i chose was a good fit. The music and the video has to gel or else it wont work. I apologize for not being able to fit other eaters pics or clips like Larue, Devito and someothers but now i know how these film editors feel when they have to cram as much footage as they could so it fits into a 3 minute song. Its not easy. By no means did i put this together with the intention of trying to rub it in the face of the new eaters. I just thought a little flash back to the past might have been in order. Nothing wrong with that. do you agree? One day when their time is past the current eaters might be putting up a similar video. Never know.

Great Video, Brian!!
Great clips and pics.
You guys are the reason all us new guys are here. You got it off the ground. You took local contests and gave them national recognition.
Finally, something worthwhile on beautifubrian.com.
But you took me out of Bits & Pieces…. What’s up with that?

I never said the reason the new guys are here was because of us. Its a nice compliment but the Sheas are responsible for finding the new talent. Give them the credit . I just thought it would be a nice tribute video to show before a televised sporting event such as Nathans .. I personally dont think ESPN or another network could come up with that idea or the music i used because the editors that work there are in their late 20’s or early 30s and would prob fuck up the video by adding on music from rage against the machine or hootie and the blowfish. This is not a knock on those bands but the new music wouldnt fit. With the exception of Rich Lefevre i think i might be the only one in the IFOCE that has a knowledge and library of rock & r&b that go back to the 50’s to the present . If i slighted anyone on that remark i apologize. As far as the bits & pieces comments ,until you give up your real name boy king i cant hype you. It looks stupid hyping an alias.

Wow! Apparently, the more things change, the more they stay the same. Or something like that.
What a great video – I really enjoyed it! You all look like you enjoyed what you were doing at the time, and that’s what makes all the difference. If it isn’t fun, it isn’t worth it. I hope that the new eaters are in it for the fun, not just the profit.
Thanks for sharing that with everyone!

We are here because of you.
This time, BB, I will give you and your contemporaries all the credit you deserve.
The Sheas didn’t find anyone, they just happen to be the ones that benefit from youngsters, like myself, taking an interest in what you old eaters were doing and finding out we were as good as, or better.
Congratulations on a good video, and I think possibly finally finding your voice and place in the new and improved world of competitive eating.

Thanks Boy King much appreciated . I guess it works both ways .Sheas have given credit to the eaters claiming if it was not for them there would be no IFOCE but then again there would not be an IFOCE to house the eaters if it werent for the Shea’s . When i get the thumbs up from Badlands i know i put together a winner. Badlands and Shredder play to the camera real well which makes a huge difference. Steakbellie i’m sure whatever you have planned for your site it will work out well. Some friendly tips, the pics or video clips should be no more than 4 or 5 seconds a piece Never ever use a common song or music everyone is familiar with. For some reason it sounds stale and never works with a video montage. The last thing you want is someone singing along to the song and not paying attention to the video. Also make sure the song rocks or hits hard at the beginning to keep their attention. Hope i was of some assistance. Its on to buffalo on sept 2.
