Broward New Times has a blog entry about videos by "Furious" Pete Czerwinski and others that were inspired by Michael Phelps reported 12,000 calorie / day training diet. Matt Stonie has also produced a video where he tries to consume that amount.

I do not find these kinds of attempts interesting at all. There are so many ways to consume 12,000 calories. Some are easy. Some are hard. Twelve thousand is just a number. It is not the best measure of difficulty.

The big talk right now, anywhere, is about the Olympics and how Michael Phelps is the most decorated Olympian of all time. IMO, now is actually the perfect time to attempt this and release a video like this.

Nothing is original. Everything comes from somewhere. Both Pete and Stonie put their own take on Michael Phelps. So did another eater four years ago. http://blogs.villagevoice.com/forkintheroad/2008/08/crazy_legs_cont.php
