Carey Poehlmann wins EATORF Chili Wimpees

The winners page for EATORF has been updated to record Carey “Powerhouse” Poehlmann’s victory in Saturday’s Chili Wimpee contest in Lake Ariel, making him the first victor of an EATORF contest besides Killer K Hill. In an email, Poehlmann praises the contest organizers:

I drove over to Lake Ariel to participate in EATORF’s Chili Whimpee contest, and was very surprised how organized these guys are, how much fun I had participating, and how enjoyable the crowd found it. They are a great group of guys, and think that they deserve some attention for the dedication that they show to the sport of competitive eating.

Congrats Carey! If i’m reading correctly Killer K Hill didn’t compete. That’s disappointing, it would carry more weight if he was there. I’m more than likely coming to the next one. What exactly is a Texas Wiener?!

Thanks Joe. Wait a minute, you are going next tuesday? Well then I am definitely in. I am trying to get them to up it to 5 HDB per round, since it is a race to a certain number instead of a timed event. Don’t want the possibility of losing because of the difference between my 16.5 seconds and your 16 seconds in a two dog race.

Rhonda how come you never post on weekends?

It’s just a personal preference not to post on weekends. I need to take a break from Eatfeats once in awhile. Otherwise it becomes the master and me the slave.

Yes it is true that Killer K Hill was not at the great chili wimpee eating contest. Dont be saying you beat his winning streak when he wasnt even there. He would of crushed the competition. He was timed to eat two chili wimpees in 25 seconds thats how long it took you to eat one!!! It would be a nice challenge to see you two square off though i’m sure your a great eater anyway since you did win, but the killer did not attend the wimpee eat-off and he still is the man!!!!!

How many EATORF t-shirts did you buy with your winnings?

    Munchin,
    1. I myself never proclaimed to beat K Hill in anything, but it is true that his streak on the winners board is over. Yes, his actual winning streak is untouched for now.
    2. Where did this supposed attempt at two wimpees take place? When did it take place?
Let’s say it was before the actual event. What rules did you go by? Same amount of everything? Same kaiser rolls? Did Eric and Justin know about this? If so, did they go ahead and only use one wimpee in the contest, knowing each round might only last 13 seconds, and be really hard to judge who wins?
OK, maybe it was after the real event, say, yesterday. Well why didn’t he do one wimpee, to guage how he would have done against the competition at the festival?
    3. So you are telling me that it takes him two and a half minutes to eat a 12 inch cheese steak, but 25 seconds to eat the equivalent in chili sandwiches? (note that a 12 inch cheesesteak roll is trimmed down to 11 inches before being used for a sandwich, and 6 inch kaiser rolls are not only 6 inches long, but also 6 inches wide, making them bigger than a 12 inch cheesesteak)
Am I wasting too much time with this?

Well there it is! I said it, and I always keep a promise, GJoe just faxed in his registration, looks like I will be in Scranton Next Tuesday to Battle for the Bib. K Hill can say goodbye to his winning streak.

Just reading this and saw you are braging about eating a big chili wimpee? A wimpee is like soup and a cheesesteak it hard meat right?? so that means it will be HARDER to eat then a winpee! Where is this huge wimpee you meassured a kaiser roll is not as big as a hoggie bun… and if you messure like that my dick must be like 3 feet!

Oh what you need someone there to hold your hand as you lose to K Hill … why couldnt you go by yourself??? HAHAHAHA just busting dude There is NO WAY that your wimpee was anywhere near three pounds so … we’ll just see what goes down on tuesday

Oh yea a 12 inch HOAGIE bun is 12 inches or that would be false advertisement and anyway the hoagies at the green alley are 13 inches and 3lbs. You should go there sometime and try one

anonymous, after you learn to spell, learn to comprehend. There is no bragging being done when I am trying to argue those points.
Idiot, TWO six inch kaiser rolls together ARE the same length as a 12 inch hoagie roll.
and yes, when they sell the roll it is 12 inches, but then the cook cuts off the ends to make a cheese steak. And the amazing difference in time between his two wimpees and his cheesesteak can be accounted for by what?
I was going by what is says on the EATORF website that said they were 12 inches, by the way. If they are wrong about it, that is their problem. And who knows if the steaks used are the same as Green Alley serves. Stop waisting our time with your rambling. By the way, I changed my mind not because I need my hand held, but because Joe is a friend of mine, we compete together often, and driving two hours just to hang out with you isn’t appetizing enough.

Anonymous, I would have to assume that a thread with my name on it is in fact one devoted to me 🙂
Thanks for the comment if you were talking about my good looks, but I didn’t use profanity, so maybe you were talking about someone else.

I dunno about Munchin’ Marcu$. He has a dollar sign in his name, which leads me to believe he either wins a lot of money or spends a lot of money on food. Either way, this is getting interesting. And Carey, I agree with Anonymous (10:13 am), you are a really good literature.

I just want to say that everyone did a great job at Last nights event. All the Characters shown some amazing eating skills. There were some close call like PowerHouse vs killer K hill. a fraction of a sec to win it. But the craziest part of all was Gentalmen Joe that rivaled all. 19 second for two texas weiners and the only time to come close was 37. What an event and a great time.
