Carlene LeFevre health status update

In a comment on this site, Rich LeFevre provides the following response to Andrew Lane’s query about the health of his wife Carlene LeFevre, who is ranked #9 in the most recent IFOCE rankings but has not competed since being hospitalized in late summer:

Carlene wants to let all her fans know that she is doing fine and thank them for all their good wishes. Her future in competitive eating is still uncertain at this time but she’ll be at the Big Daddy burger contest in Las Vegas on 1/21 to cheer me on.

It’s is great to know that Carlene is doing all right. I hope she feels absolutely no pressure to return to competition and will not enter an eating contest unless she is 100% certain it will have no negative impact on her health. I also hope she watches Rich compete in the Wing Bowl from the press box of the Wachovia Center if she travels to Philadelphia because being in the midst of that crowd is not the optimal environment for anyone’s health.

    Carlene I’m glad to hear that you’re doing better and are well enough to come out to the Big Daddy Burger Competition to root Rich on. Regina and I are praying for a full recovery, and I can’t wait to see you when i get to Vegas. See you soon,

    Thanks, Badlands. You are truly a class act and we look forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks as we look forward to seeing all of the eaters who come. Let’s all hope that the meat will be better prepared this time!

    I am glad to she that Carlene is still getting better. That is what we like to hear. Can’t wait to see you guys at Barrick, although I have a short stay this time.

    Thank you so much. You are a true friend and we’re looking forward to seeing you next weekend and I’m sure all the other eaters are as well. You did such a great job last year and everything went smoothly due to your participation. Even though I won’t be in the contest, the event will be a lot more enjoyable because you are coming.     I have heard that there was alot of horse play going on during this eating challenge and noone was watching this attempt while it was going on.

    I have a feeling food was being eaten by others at this table.If Booker could’nt do it Kate for sure cannot.

    That is why Kate has not attempted another challenge.I would say Kate prove it or admit it’s a scam.
