The Chi-Town Hot Sauce Expo will hold a Carolina Reaper pepper eating contest in Bridgeview, IL on June 24 awarding $1000 if the Guinness record is broken. Other spicy eating challenges will be held throughout the weekend.

    Last years video of the Reaper contest shows that the winner didn’t have to spit the remainder of his reapers out soon as the 60 seconds expired in which the other contestants had to. He received an extra 8 seconds to swallow what he had in his mouth when they finally placed the bowl under his mouth to spit it out but he had nothing to spit out since he swallowed the remainder.
