The 1st Annual Collegiate Competitive Eating League National Championship will take place at the Cornerstone Grill & Loft in College Park, MD on April 16. Colleges will need to assemble teams of 10 eaters to compete.

    I’m trying to figure out how these losers are announcing a “tournament” or championship with one team that also runs the League in which they participate. Let me get this right; the Cornerstone Grill gets business, the MD team gets favorable treatment for getting the Cornerstone business and this organized team claims to be ” National Champions” by beating some hastily formed group of stoners with the munchies. These MD boys sound like misinformed aasholes spending daddys money

    that sounds a little extreme. i for one am excited about the possibilities of collegiate eating.
