I am disappointed in Michelle. First defending Brian against eatfeats in a comment; now this.

These people…
They must have arrived at the contest at 8am to get their spot… to then watch the ENTIRE event.
So that 5 hours later, they could protest for two minutes… while ESPN was doing commercials… and the crowd immediately started booing them.
Great job guys!
Silver lining – Lesco is a badass and the hot dog chant was hilarious

Not a fan of Tim Janus but he is anything but the aggressive sort. These people obviously were the aggressors and pushed him to the limit . Matter fact they can push anyone to the limit

Definitely dodos. Janus was on stage with them and took the sign but never made contact with them. I didn’t see Lesco, but I doubt she shoved them either.

People get violent when you try to mess with their money. Isn’t she like 3’9; I’m surprised she could do anything. FBTSPod would eat shit before they backed up a righteous cause by good hearted people especially if that cause went against competitive eaters.

FBTS has the best podcast around but that statement comes off as somewhat ignorant

One must understand that competitive eaters are not vegans or at least the majority of them are not. They are competing in a hot dog contest which is like the ultimate worst as far as vegan activists are concerned. Comp eaters are completely blind as to what that kind of lifestyle is all about. Did they go about it the right way with signs in attempt to incite a riot? No. They really picked up the pace over the years. Used to be just a handful handing out leaflets but that was before the ESPN era. Has protesting for an cause ever accomplished anything?. Waste of time an energy as far as anyone is concerned

Maybe Vegetariankin can protest with the group next year, that’s the only way that he will ever make it on to that stage.

I agree @ 7:34, I am having fun trolling the shit out of the video and actually mentioned about the way they are going about it now will incite a riot easily.

Those wingnuts were not strictly vegan activists. They’re animal rights activists with a motto of “until every animal is free.” As in, the human is equal to the cow is equal to the goldfish. Our food industry is fucked seventeen ways to sunday, I will absolutely give them that, but no amount of protesting on ESPN will convince me that cracking an egg is an act of violence.
Lesco raises a buttload of money for Charity: Water, and FBTS brings lively fun in podcast form. Lighten up.

Several competitors and fans were caught in the crowd when the protest began. Even though the protest did not turn violent, I pushed my way through to get somewhere I perceived as “safe” in case the situation escalated. Viewed from a different perspective, I guess that could be called “shoving”, but it’s an incredibly far reach. I’m not sure if Tim and Michelle had similar experiences to mine, but I can see how something totally benign could be taken entirely out of context, which I think is what is happening with the article. There is no story here.

If Seiken was a vegan he wouldn’t have such a bloated face and stomach.

There are vegans and raw vegans. Raw vegans are the real extremists . They go beyond abstaining from animal by products with the belief that cooked food is death same way they are firmly against vaccination and the medical profession. Michelle was being kind . She should have tried to shove a hot dog in one of those aggressive females face. That would have been priceless

Michelle Lesco is the real winner in my books!
