NewsDay.com reports that Ed "Cookie" Jarvis will return to competitive eating at a garlic eating contest at the Long Island Garlic Fest this weekend.

Wow! That’s exciting news! I’m especially happy that Cookie has chosen a food that is one of the healthiest. (Though I probably would not want to converse with him the rest of the day, at least not up close.)
If I were a competitive eater, I would stick with fruits, veggies, raw seafood, and lean meat. That way I could truly not feel guilty eating as much as I want. There’s no way I would want to eat HDBs. fried foods, pies, and such.
I think there are ample healthy opportunities to eat competitively.
