I was at the Vancouver location of Smoke’s Poutinerie on Granville St. to confirm the August 19 date. The manager was not in to accept my entry.

Dont knock eatfeats i mean where else can you express your innermost hate for someone without having to email them personally let alone using a fake identity ? This site gives equal opportunity to throw someone under a bus and not only run them over once but multiple times

The updated Vancouver information is that the tour will not be at the restaurant 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM but 6 km away at the Rio Theatre, 1660 East Broadway, (at Commercial Drive) Tuesday August 19 12 Noon to 2 PM. Only Pete Czerwinski, Pat Bertoletti and Tim Brown will be eating. Free poutine given away. On October 1, 2005 Pat ate 0.64 pounds more Buffalo wings than me at the Verizon VoiceWing qualifier in Everett, WA. Back then I did not know about wings eating techniques.

Zombies dine on poutine

The self-proclaimed inventor of the “poutinerie” — poutine with lots of toppings — arrived in Vancouver Tuesday, bringing with him a zombie-themed competition to see who could finish their cow-brain-topped boxes fastest.
Smoke’s Poutinerie CEO Ryan Smolkin said Vancouver’s the 17th city he’s hit since starting on a “poutine-eating tour” more than two weeks ago in Halifax.
Each city had its own theme — during a stop to the wine country in Kelowna, for example, they made poutine wine.
“They got right into the wine barrels, crushing the fries, curd and gravy into a beautiful wine, nice and tasty, and they drank it afterwards,” Smolkin said.
Vancouver’s theme was zombies — chosen for our popular “zombie walks” — and featured professional eaters “Furious Pete” Czerwinski and Pat “Deep Dish” Bertoletti chowing down on the aforementioned brains. Czerwinski won.

I think some sort of trophy should be handed down to mr.wong for coming within 0.64 pounds of Bertoletti nearly 10 yrs ago . Then again Don Lerman is still bitching 12 yrs later that he was railroaded at Nathans finals in 2001 and deserves 3rd place instead of 4th
