Dax "The Ginger" Swanson received billing as the headliner for the final Hooters wing qualifier at the California State Fair in Sacramento on Saturday with Joey Chestnut not having qualfied for the finals in Clearwater, Florida on July 26. (Joey was listed as a participant in the Miami qualifier on June 22, but did not compete.)

    Good luck to you Dax. I have no line on your wing-eating ability, but I hope you do very well. Yasis is coming on strong, and Juliet is the woldest of the wildcards.

    If Joey shows it “should” be all over but the shoutin’. But given the counting at previous hOOters qualifiers, as well as the farcical count and results in the infamous Wingstop wing contest last year, in which the top two wing eaters in the world got dusted by well over a pound, who knows?

    I would go as far as saying that I would not be the least bit surprised to see Yasir, Juliet, or a non top-8 or 9 eater win the whole thing at the Hooters Finals. I’m as serious as I can be.

    So Dax, strike while the iron of inconsistent counting is hot! You could win it all at the finals if you can win in Sac.

    I tried last time and it did not work out in my favor, so this time im cleaning wings way better, Barclay goes by weight and sticks to it so im going with who eats the most amount of meat and not amount of wings touched. and keeping up with Eric the Reds hand speed in Fremont I feel i have a good chance to walk away with my hand raised, I have been training to face Joey so anyone less will be welcome.
