If i go running and injure my knees or something, i suppose that shouldn’t be covered either. Participating in eating contests doesn’t mean abusing your body in a way that it’s risky for your health or life. Injuries may happen and there is always a couple of guys that make it riskier than it should be, but that happens in wathever sport/activity you might possibly join.
