Real BarBQ in Lincoln Park, MI (Detroit area) will hold a qualifier for an August contest awarding $1,000 to the winner as part of its grand opening celebration on July 16.

    Just called them. $20 entry fee, no time limit and there’s a “champion eater” in the finals against the qualifier winners.
