Don "Moses" Lerman is still upset about having his picture on Nathan's "Wall of Fame" painted over. He also believes he was third in the 2001 Nathan's finals.

    I think.with all.due respect the godfather Charles hardy should do the right thing and hand over that 3rd place trophy to the great Moses lerman

    I would hate to see comments here tearing down Don Lerman. That seems to be too often the responses here. Don contributed a lot to competitive eating (and also received a lot). Don, my advice to you likely doesn’t matter to you, what you wrote you think is still important. I think you need to accept what happened in the past and move on. Continuing to state that you think you got a raw deal (even if you did) does nothing to elevate your reputation, it has the opposite effect. Your contributions to competitive eating can never be taken away in the mind of many fans. Please do not tarnish your own reputation, join the community, go to Nathans this year if you can, get a pass, be recognized for what you have done and be accepting of things which did not turn out as you wished.

    Is this dude bipolar or what? Out the blue he wakes up one morning and says “I think i deserve the Nathans trophy from 11yrs ago” We are not tearing down Don Lerman more like we think he’s off his rocker. There are so many more important things in life. Don Lerman has a beautiful renovated home in LI . He sits on his ass all day with a check coming in each month that keeps him living comfortably and he still complains ? Pleeeeeeeeeze give it a rest ok?
