Don is retired according to all accounts, and doing this kind of challenge is simply fun for him, not competing in the traditional sense. Good for him! Congrats Don.

Mongo Marquezif if that’s accurate 23sec, your very very good but do you have it documented? 23 sec. is a bit far fetched

Congratulations Don! Fifty lbs is quite an accomplishment! May you keep it going and may you achieve all your health-related goals.
Don, I’ll be honest with you, and I’ve never revealed this before, but of all the competitive eaters in the US, it was you and your records that first caught my eye, back in 2001 and 2002.
You’ve made quite a significant contribution to CE and your accomplishments speak for themselves. Your reputation as one of the legends of the game precedes you.

Thank you Rhonda : my goal is to weigh 165 by mid April and 145 by July 4th , it got to a point I was using an inhaler and couldn;t walk around the block my legs wouldn’t support my torso. it was time to diet or die of obesity related aliments, yes my friends joke and call me Lerman the hut, lol

Lerman… That is a great time. I did it 3 times, 50 seconds was my best, I have a video of me doing it in 1:12 but that was my first time. And the other two times I was with other eaters…. And on one of those occasions Gilbert beat me.
I am not ragging on you, people do contests (I have seen them on eatfeats 🙂 ) at these buffalo wild wings locations and win with just under 2 minutes or sometimes more. 1:25 is indeed hauling ass. 50 seconds is dancing with the wings. I am not a great wing eater because after a dozen my chew/swallow becomes slower than I can get them off the bone. Trust me I am not berating you and nobody else should be either. That is a respectable time.
