3 News NZ has an article about the PledgeMe page set up to raise money for a trip for Nela Zisser to compete in the 2015 Nathan's finals, an event she has not qualified for. The former Miss Earth New Zealand has agreed to compete in the 2016 Wing Bowl, which might prevent her from competing in Major League Eating competitions since the Wing Bowl is an independent contest.

    Dudes. Not cool. If you saw her on the street, I’m sure you’d think she was really pretty. You can’t judge people on photoshop standards and then comment about it online. That’s how you give people complexes. Let’s remember there are people involved here. Even if Nela is able to brush off the “haters,” your anonymous comments are sometimes further reaching than you may think. If a young girl were to see comments saying that Nela is ugly, it’s very possible that the child would think “Oh man, she’s way better looking than me, so if she’s ugly, then what am I?”

    Anyway, in my opinion, she is absolutely gorgeous, and talented as well. Let’s not get catty for no apparent reason.
