japanprobe reports that the program “Dream Vision” did an episode about the science of competitive eaters. Gal Sone and Nobuyuki “The Giant” Shirota were given an MRI exam after eating over 100 sushi each. The body temperature after eating was also observed. Two clips from the program are available in the episode.

Gal Sone is currently the most popular competitive eater in Japan and the most popular female competitive eater in the world, hands down. She may also be the best eater in the world, having beat Shirota, who has beaten Kobayashi twice. You can certainly make a case for it. She is also the best looking woman in competitive eating.

If there has to be a best female in the world then it would have to be Sone. Woman to woman she would humiliate all female comers in this country. No wonder they dodge her.

I don’t think anyone eats more than her on a regular basis. Its speed eating she does bad in….if the match were to be about who could eat the most she would definately win. Whats amazing is that most eaters train to eat like that and only in competitions. This girl eats like that every damn day. And if you look at competitions and such while every1 has a stone cold face, she is really enjoying her meal. And by how cool Kobayashi is i doubt that he eats like that every day.

Has Gal Sone ever competed in a speed eating contest where there were no camera breaks for her to go to the rest room and throw up? It doesn’t count if you don’t keep it down.
