The Elon University web site has an article about chemistry professor Joel Karty, who ate 14.5 hot dogs in 6 minutes to win the first prize of $250 at a contest held at the Carolina Classic Fair in Winston Salem on October 8. Joey Chestnut oversaw the contest.
