I was there in the Sopranoland type neighborhood to watch the contest in 2005. Very unprofessional but they start the contest with the pies right out of the oven freshly baked. and not standing around for 3hrs ice cold. . Millender barely got through the first pie and managed one slice from the second but it was a struggle for him. They do a poor job of trying to imitate MLE. I live 15 min from the pizza place so i might stop by to watch but i doubt it. I will say the pizza at Rocco’s is the best in NYC beside Difara

Hot pizza for a contest! That would be something if we even got the pizza even lukewarm last Sunday.

They are regulation size 18” inch pies but much easier to eat because they dont leave them around to get cold. These pies were lukewarm but only sat around for no more than 10 minutes.

If you want good pizza and enjoy what you are eating when competing , this is the place to do it. Like BB says the atmosphere is like gumba city.
