    If you read it word for word it says “with names like Shredder and Crazy Legs” doesnt imply that they are actually competing in the contest

    It says filling the ranks alongside them. Just another example of frothy journalism without fact-checking and writing at breakneck speed. Every eater who worked so hard to get to Coney hopefully will have a great experience and get some press and their days in the sun and enjoy every minute. Obviously the person(s) writing just liked the names. The women will get lots more, they have already gotten a ton of press and been “entertained” and will all have a terrific experience. Yes, too bad that it isn’t televised alongside the men because Nathans with Joey and without Kobayashi is just plain boring. In all, it is just another year in the Nathans saga but THE story this year is the WOMEN. Give it your all Larell (You will for sure!), cheer on the others because what you do this year might determine televising for next year.

    The author of this article must have visual difficulties. He says that while looking through the MLE’s top 50 ranked pictures, they reveal no physiques that look like they could double as the Goodyear Blimp. Am I looking at the wrong pictures.

    Oh Stallion, I’m gonna do just that & then some lol. I already feel like I’m living the dream with all the opportunities I’ve been given this week. I know that regardless of #’s/outcome/placement, I will walk away with memories that will last a lifetime & stories I’ll tell my grandchildren one day. I cld never even try to put in2 words the level of excitement I am feeling nor the immense gratitude to those who enabled this to happen. I appreciate all the support u’ve always shown me!!!     Anon12:09 goodness, no lol. I’m talkn about being able to be included in the events such as the high tea at the Plaza with the New York Post, being at the weigh-in w/Mayor Bloomberg, newspaper & television mentions, meeting the other eaters, etc. Its just already been amazing! 🙂
