Great job Pete! 50% increase over the old record is pretty impressive. You better watch out for Ian at the Pulled Pork contest…

This is an outrage. Don Lerman is the true latka champ. Lerman should have been competing or judging this event. A non jew taking this title is a total disgrace. Long live the matzah champ Don moses lerman

Congratulations Pete, you are definitely one of the best eater out there right now, it would be good to see you against guys like Joey, Pat, Tim or Japanese guys like Kobayashi. Hopefully that would happen in 2009? I know that you would need to be part of IFOCE for that but well, you never know, you have no competitor in AICE and that is against your performances because you don’t have anyone to compete with but yourself. Also, I think it would be a good idea to have a different league for people over 40 years old because it is shown that right now top guys are in the 20’s or early 30’s and it would be nice to see a women league and the best from there get to compete with guys (I think that way it would be easier to attract more female competitors because some of them do not dare to take part because they think they will have no chance competing against guys unless you are Sonya or Juliette for saying some names.
Happy Holidays (Hanukkah, Christmas, New Year, etc.) to everybody from Panama
    Alex
    P. S. Besides Pat Philbin, does anyone have ever tried an eggnog drinking challenge?

    Pete,
The confusion is in the conversion from Canadian oz to American oz.

Well 31 latkes was 5,8lbs…we in Canada don’t use oz, we use grams…so there is no difference Steakbellie

7 grams is a quarter of an ounce.
    14 grams is a half.
    28 grams is an ounce.
1 gram is a dime bag.
    LOL.

Yo Pete, have you ever eaten a pierogi?

It would be nice to have an online eggnog drinking challenge, does anyone want to join? I may try this weekend, half gallon in the least time.

I was at the O&A eggnog challenge the year Booker won. (2005?)
They did not hold it this year…

I see Will, liquid challenges or records are not done that often because they would last a few minutes, even a few seconds with these guys drinking as fast as they eat, I still remember Joey drinking the gallon of milk in 41 seconds, just amazing, too bad I am not in my 20’s again, being over 40 makes things different the exception would be Rich Lefevre and his wife Carlene.
