    The problem with being in Dani’s House Of Pizza’s contest is you have to actually eat that God-awful pizza.I don’t think you should consider your product real Italian pizza if you hire Mexicans to make it for you.Even a great (amateur?) champion like ‘Gentleman?’ Joe Menchetti got beat out by a nobody because you actually have to swallow that stuff.Or maybe it was some other reason,like he was expecting to have something thrown at him.Congrats to Pete,& I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to ask him why he hates Gays.

    Congrats Pete, and great job to Marcus, you beat two really good eaters to take second. Lol @ the pizza being god-awful, their pizza was good when I did the contest, and I believe you did every qualifier two years ago and talked your way into the finals, couldn’t have been that bad…

    You have a valid point there,Jon Taylor,who was once my facebook friend until he was persuaded otherwise,of course I have an axe to grind when I’m treated unfairly.If you knew half of what I knew about competitive eating you would be saying the same thing.All contest promoters should be aware that when Menchetti,Millender,Seiken,or her who’s name I dare not mention,tell you to ban me,they have something to hide that they don’t want the CE world to know about.I have made the collossal mistake of being comepletely honest,which is a no-no in the world of what you ingest to help you succeed is only discussed in the back rooms of IFOCE & other lesser organisations who don’t really matter.I really got along with Sabri Dani & Dominic Fontana until they listened to whoever badmouthed me,maybe it’s not the pizza but the aftertaste of being betrayed.

    @ X Rated: The finals were 10 minutes long. Also note that Dani serves the jumbo 22″ inch slices, instead of the standard 16″ slices or everyone would have eaten more.

    Marcos “The Monster” Owens is an up-and-coming competitive eater. He did surprise everyone by beating out both Menchetti and Brunelli, but more power to him. He’s good.

    I hope to see “Big Bad Jon” at next year’s contest.
