GJoe wins “one for the thumb” in paczkis

If the paczki eating contest held at Eddy’s Bake Shop in Ansonia, Connecticut awarded a ring to the victor, “Gentleman” Joe Menchetti would now be able to adorn each finger on one hand. ConnPost reports that Menchetti won his fifth paczki title and a prize of $200 by eating a record 13 paczkis in five minutes. NBCI5.com has a gallery and news video.

Any top 20 IFOCE eater who has the balls to stray from the organization can definitely give Joe a run for his money.

We will likely never find out.

The last time GJoe faced an eater ranked in the IFOCE top 20, he handled Dale Boone rather easily in the Queens dumpling contest.

I really, so much, wish the IFOCE would look the other way, play dumb, or what have you, just for a little while, so that the eaters from the various organizations could compete together. Right now I’m convinced that Joe and Elizabeth are the two best of the lot, with Goose and Ian right on their heels.

I’d really like to see some interorganizational tag team matches, not IFOCE versus AICE, but a member of each organization paired with one another in competition. I know I have a better chance of finishing first in a brothel beauty pageant in the “hood.” But that’s my wish anyway.

    Like a Pro-Am, you’re saying.

What’s the point unless the amateurs are giving money to charity?

Joe does it again … from the AICE Web site:

” 2/7/08-Gentleman Joe Menchetti claims Canadian Wing title by downing 67 Wings in 10 minutes
In an event sponsored by Wing Shack and 94.9 of Ontario Canada Gentleman Joe destroyed the competition by devouring 67 Chicken Wings. The next finisher was reported to have finished only 45 Wings. Joe takes home $5,000.”

Just goes to show that making good money is necessarily reserved for IFOCE eaters, and Joe is well tuned in to where to go to make that happen.

Anonymous, no I do not mean pro-am. Give credit where credit is due. At least three of the top AICE eaters could certainly give a few of the top 10 IFOCE eaters a run for their money in different foods of varying time limits.

You must think the IFOCE has the CE talent market cornered — not so.

Rhonda, you hate charity? Is that what you’re saying? Why shouldn’t the amateurs have to pay to compete in the Pro-Am with the IFOCE’s top eaters?

Anyway, a Pro-Am is unnecessary. The AICE guys can just give their money directly to charity.

Joe, you beat a bunch of kids. There isn’t a single adult besides you featured in that slideshow of the event!

Okay, so even if Joe did beat “a bunch of kids.” The contest was open to all adults. Joe had the smarts to cruise on in and pick up some easy money. Anyone who tries to say he is too altruistic to take advantage of the situation if given the chance is lying to himself.

Again, Joe is certainly not my favorite eater or personality, but I give credit where credit is due. Good on you Joe!

You give him credit for beating children?

You’re probably also happy that the Patriots won The Class Bowl that Mike Fernetti keeps talking about.

Children are not aloud to compete against adults in CE. Anyway, I don’t know who you are, but instead of flapping your fingers, why don’t you put your butt on the line against him in a contest and see what happens. He would put you in your place inside of 10 seconds.

The Giants outplayed the Patriots in the single most important game of the season. But the Patriots demonstrated that in 2007 they were a better team than the Giants all season long. Just look at their records. Look at their common opponents and how the games came out.

Rhonda, you’re an idiot. Hickman (spoonbread) now GJoe (paczykis) have both won “titles” in contests predominated by children and old ladies.

You contradict yourself in consecutive posts. First you agree that Joe did beat children, and then you say that children aren’t “aloud” to compete.

I thought I’d test the wording of the comment to see if it was idiot-proof. Thanks for validating its flaw. You’re better at that then you’ll ever know.
