Gluttonous World Cup Group

Last Wednesday’s televised contest between Natsuko “Gal” Sone and Nobuyuki “the Giant” Shirota featured German sausage in honor of the location of the World Cup. Shirota defeated Gal-Sone 49 sausages to 42 and they both wore the jersey of the Japanese national soccer team. Additional eaters wore the uniforms of Japan’s first round opponents: Brazil, Australia and Croatia. Miku Matsumoto, who wore Croatia’s jersey and ate 10 sausages, has a blog entry about the contest.

I agree with Don. Who cares about either of them.Furthermore i dont thin the gal is coming to the U.S anytime soon . Just for the record i got the Subich victory news before IFOCE posted it and i filled you in on it via email OJ, not the IFOCE. Whats the story with the IFOCE site ? Has this become a race so can put it up before i do? Get a grip man!

    OJ,
I’m enjoying the International coverage. Keep up the good work, I cant fathom how you get so much info!

I agree Streakbellie. Trencherwomen is THE most informative unofficial site in competitive eating, bar none. I can’t believe the amount of dedication and hard work that he or she puts into this site. Hey DML and BB it’s OJ’s site and he or she can put up whatever he or she likes. If anyone doesn’t like it. that person should stay away!

Thank you for the news. It was very enjoyable to read. For your information, I do care about other eaters besides the American ones.
