“Ham & Eggs” not on Spike TV new years schedule

New Year’s Day is probably a more appropriate holiday for a televised eating contest than Christmas, but the Spike TV schedule now extends to January 1, and the ham & eggs contest is not listed on that date or on December 31.

BestOnCable still reports
that the ham & eggs contest will be televised today.

Perhaps ham and eggs will be more appropriate for Easter. I strongly doubt that it will be advertised in the next few days, due to the lack of publicity that Spike and the IFOCE are giving it.

He does pick and choose i said and its bullshit. He should let every fuckin comment pass through unless its really demeaning and vulgar then i can see his point. I know for a fact that he screens the don lerman comments from other people because he doesnt want to get emails from lerman to remove them

Yes, I was thinking ham and eggs seemed much more suited towards Easter, too.

I don’t think too many people care anymore, because the event occurred so long ago. By the time the event airs, if it even does, the IFOCE may not even be around, the way things are going.

Given the lack of Fed events for nearly 2 months and counting, my once dedicated allegiance to that organization is waining at a steady clip and that’s okay. Some of the independent eaters have earned more recognition and now is their time to shine.

Will there be a Peggy O’Neil’s Burger Eating contest this July 4th?

I really hope so. I mean what would the Fourth of July be without Peggy O’Neill’s legendary hamburger eating contest? It’s a boon for the borough of Brooklyn AND for the American beef industry, which amps up beef production for several weeks before the contest so that it can meet the extra demand for hamburger meat without causing ripples throughout the supply chain worldwide.

It may well be some of the former / current Fed eaters who serve up that onslaught of burgers. That may be well be the only action they see.

    Absolutely, Rhonda. You’re so right!

Hamburgers. On the 4th of July. On a sidewalk in Brooklyn. Now that’s a perfect day! Mmmm mmm!

Most independent contests have no affiliation with the AICE. Gentleman Joe will tell you the same. A person that is not an IFOCE member can eat in AICE-affiliated contests if he wants to, or he can limit himself to independent contests that aren’t associated with the AICE. Either way, the eater can eat.

Right now the Fed gurgitators may or may not be focused, but they’re sure as hell hungry–literally! Of course, they can look in the mirror and console themselves by repeatedly chanting, “I am an an IFOCE member and I’m damn proud of it.” Well, the pride is in danger of wearing off, I’d say.

The Fed’s future looks as blank as the “Future Events” section of the Eating Contests page. How can MLE eaters stomach that?
