wcbstv.com has an article and video about “Humble” Bob Shoudt breaking the cheesesteak record at Jim’s Steaks in Philadelphia. Humble Bob ate 13 sandwiches in about an hour to break the record of 12 set by Alex Friedman set in 2001 in a Wing Bowl qualifying stunt. Freidman broke Lynda Kuerth’s 1977 mark of 11 cheesesteaks, which remains the women’s record.

Pretson and Steve were talking about it today. They have a podcast you can find on itunes I believe it starts like 54 min into the show.

That just sounds good, Cheese steaks would be a good choice for a contest. What is the approximate weight of 13 cheese steaks?

Bob it makes me uncomfortably full (or fully uncomfortable) just thinking about eating two of them, let alone 13! You’ve always been good at this sort of thing … you AND Tim.
