Humble Bob & Eater X conquer Pauliesaurus Pizza
“Humble” Bob Shoudt and “Eater X” Tim Janus were the first to conquer the “Pauliesaurus” megapizza from Paulie’s Pizza in New Brunswick, NJ, winning them a prize of $350. Beautiful Brian has a writeup of their evening on his website.
With the vanquishing of the Pauliesaurus, notable unconquered eating challenges include:
- Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub’s 15 pound Belly Buster burger
- Clinton Station Diner’s 50 pound (4 person team) Mount Olympus burger and 12 pound Zeus burger
- The Rockford (MI) Corner bar’s 42.5 chili dogs in 4 hours. The current record has been held by Sharon Scholten, a 110 pound woman, for almost a quarter century. If this mark is bested, it is debatable if the victor should have an asterisk if he/she does not eat a giant Mexican lunch before like Sharon did. (As far as I know, Ms. Scholten’s mark is the most hot dogs ever eaten by a woman in a single session, but Sonya Thomas might change that on July 4, 2006)
