IFOCE announces $100K hunger charity initiative
From IFOCE.com
Major League Eating and the International Federation of Competitive Eating have donated $10,000 to Second Harvest and selected organizations to kick off a campaign to raise $100,000 for hunger charities.
The initiative, which will include donations from the league, eaters, clients and fans, follows IFOCEgives, a similar effort that raised more than $50,000 for charities including Second Harvest and the American Red Cross.

Yes, but only the odd-numbered ranked eaters that are younger than 38 or older than 48; you must have been born on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Saturday. When you win money at the contest, you must contribute 50% of your winnings to the chosen charity, unless you are ranked outside of the top ten, who must contribut 90% of your winnings.

Good for them. I noticed their IFOCE Gives link was broken for awhile. Glad to see the program up and running again.

Each eater with any amount of winnings should match what the I.F.O.C.E organization gives as a whole.

Why only donate winnings? Why not contribute a minimal amount for every contest you compete in? Perhaps donate the dollar value of the food you consume.

If a guy doesn’t donate in tandem with the IFOCE, don’t jump all over him and call him greedy. He may already be donating to other worthy charities.
