IFOCE buys bike for Steakbellie’s son
(From Kelly Livingston) Steakbellie reports that the IFOCE purchased a bike for his son, Charlie Livingston, to replace a bike stolen on the last day of school:
What had happened, was that one of the two brothers that run the IFOCE, heard about the bike being stolen, and felt that he was in a position to help. More than just having empathy, he was called to action, and put together a fund in which several of the IFOCE organization staff, and some of the Eaters themselves donated cash, which the organization matched. The whole process and check was completed in a day.

It’s silly how this thread doesn’t get a lot of posts AS IT SHOULD, lauding this very touching act of kindness by those IFOCE guys. Instead, many of the visitors here on eatfeats wait in ambush for chances to blast others … then … they chime in.

Rhonda, Let the sleeping dogs lay. I think it is a good gesture, but I didn’t feel the need to chime in because it doesn’t have anything to do with my interest in competitive eating. Good for you, Shea Brothers, but that $200 donation isn’t going to get you a lower tax bracket this year.

Charlie,
let this be a lesson to you-skip school more often, and this should also prove that eaters not only eat dough, they spend it!!
Did I mention someone stole my yellow Krystal Square-Off shirt last year in Atlanta, after I had switched into the new red one?? Donations are being accepted at http://www.moneyfornothings.com

Nothing is on TV…I just keep watching the three minute video of The Science of Speed Eating over and over and over…

Hi Steak! I watched TV earlier and saw several glimpses of the eaters on CNN. I’m getting so tired of this will or will not Koby show. I almost don’t care. He sure didn’t appear to be able to open his mouth much wider than a dog or two. But I still think he’ll eat tomorrow.
When I saw Joey eat 13 HDBs in a minute yesterday morning on CNN a d___ near s___! Wow!

You’re probably right Carey — unlike those “insomulent” dogs tomorrow, which will be diving down some throats in a big way!

Superpaul does every topic be it serious or comical have to end up with one of your idiotic sarcastic remarks? You are not funny at all.

What! 13 in a minute? That is a little better than Tim’s 5 HDB in a minute and 20sec. 🙂
Rhonda, do you know of a link to that video anywhere?

Yes it is wonderful of the ifoce/mle/pizzaslut/heinz to spend $50. to get $5,000. or more of goodwill.
To their credit, it looks like this info came from the recipients as opposed to the ifoce themselves.
