IFOCE Rookies of the Year list

As best as I can remember, these are the IFOCE rookies of the year:

2001 – Don Lerman
2002 – Cookie Jarvis
2003 – Dale Boone
2004 – Sonya Thomas
2005 – Tim Janus
2006 – Joey Chestnut
2007 – Arturo Rios, Jr.

    Rookie of the year started in 2002 Jarvis was the first ever to recieve rookie of the year . Lerman never got one

    lerman didnt win one?????????????????????? he deserves to be the real winner of the rookie award fo 2007…………………… if not that then for 2008 no doubt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you can take that to the bank…………………………

    I invented the rookie of the year trophy , I gave ed jarvis one after he tied charles hardy in the matzha ball finals but lost in o.t before the ifoce ever thought of it , stan fishler said on metro that i was the rookie of the year and mvp all rolled uo in one m y site to the press room and click on unblinking eye to see and hear that comment

    for some reason the heading came up as anoyomous said it should have read donmoserslerman, i wrote that I invented the rookie of the year…….. don lerman

    you are off in the yrs. Ed won 2001 which is given in 2002 . As Boone won in 2002 which was given in 2003 . so Rios really won the 2006 which is given this yr 2007.

    whenI SAID i invented the rookie of the year trophy, what I meant to say is that I introduced the rookie of the year trophy concept into the relm of competitive eating by presenting one to Ed J arvis back in JAN of 2001 before anyone in the ifoce ever had any idea of one …don lerman

    If I remeber correctly didn’t Arturo eat basically all of last year (2006)??? Did Don invent a new calander besides the Gregorian calendar…Or is it simply stats from the year before that are used???

    I dub Don’s new CE calendar that runs from July 4 to July 3rd…The Chestnut calendar or better yet the Lerman Calendar

    I have never actually heard the inclusive dates of the competitive eating year. It may very well run from July 1 to June 30 of the next year. I have never heard the IFOCE address it.

    Arturo only did two contest before least year’s Nathan’s finals, both being qualifiers. I’d hardly count that month a rookie year.

    It sort of looks like the IFOCE has somthing aganst Asians. Koby and Thomas got moved down and Lee didnt win Rookie o the year when most think she should have won. Seems funny. Wrong ethnic background?

    I absolutely DO NOT think the IFOCE in any way, shape or form is predjudiced about race, color, or creed. A person is a person. A purple person can make them as much money as an orange one.

    I only know that Juliet Lee should be ranked higher than 10 and Rookie of the Year should have been automatic. Maybe something Arian is going on.
