Australian Men's Heatlh has a long article about James Webb, billing him as Australia's best competitive eater. He has quit his job to focus on competitive eating.

Puking is not normal. Some eaters puke after contests and some do not. Kobayashi never pukes after contests or exhibitions. There are others who never puke.

Wow he’s lost a lot of muscle mass. Guess that’s what doing an eating challenge every day and puking it up does for you.

Here is an archived copy of a 2014 Chicago Sun Times column about witnessing mass reversals after a Nathan’s Famous finals. Interestingly, it appears to have been removed from the Sun Times website. The author, Rick Telander, was the college football writer for the golden age of Sports Illustrated.

Kobayashi absolutely does not puke. I was with him after a hotdog contest the whole time until the bus ride. He did not puke. Laugh all you want.

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Nathan’s Famous, Inc., the American tradition serving New York favorites for more than 100 years, has licensed Damhus, a German manufacturer of quality meat-products since 1936, to manufacture and distribute Nathan’s Famous hot dogs to vendors across Europe. The origin is far more complex than China owning Nathan’s.

Hey George why don’t you sign a contract with an American hot dog company? Don’t sell us out in 2024 by signing another with the Nathan’s Chinese owned company.

George does not own Nathans. But he does have a long contract for the televising of the July 4th contest. Why would he change?
