Digital Spy reports that “Gentleman” Joe Menchetti appeared on America’s Got Talent tonight and attempted to eat 5 pizzas in 90 seconds. (He did not advance to the next round.) The episode should be available on NBC.com soon. Will Millender says he was originally cast for the program, but could not appear due to gall bladder surgery and recommended Menchetti take his place.

Awesome! Wish I’d have thought of that – but, of course, 1/2 a pizza in 90 seconds may not have been as impressive

Occasionally it’s not about the $$$.
At the very least its a resume builder.
As seen on NBC’s America’s Got Talent is certainly worth… something.
They cut the hell out of it. 5-10 minutes was cut to 35 seconds.
Howie did NOT buzz me. He loved it. Wanted to take me to a drive-thru in Vegas.
When Howie asked if it was over, I was still eating while talking to them. I said its not over until i’m off stage.
Sharon was disgusted. As most middle aged women are by our activity.
Piers said before I started he wouldn’t buzz me if I completed the 5 pies. I did 2.5. I tried convincing him that it was still a ‘good eat’ & had more entertainment value than most of the other performers.
I wish they showed how I fed the crowd afterwards.

Great Job Joe.
I know/hate how you can get filmed/interviewed/perform for the camera for 10 minutes and it gets cut to 30 seconds or in my case 2 seconds.
Great appearence.

Note how at the end he says next please . They gave him about as much respect and air time as they did cookie jarvis on the jay leno show. Practically discarded like a piece of trash. Not impressed with him or the hosts of the show

They offered bertoletti 5k to eat peppers but the bros said no go. must be the wrong network
