People that earn a living scalping tickets or making deliveries with a truck usually cannot function or work with people on a regular day job due to some type of personality conflict . Most but not all recieve a disability check in the mail and the jobs i just mentioned supplement their income. This is not to imply that the disability part applies to Menchetti. As far as the bench pressing of 405lbs, some pro defensive lineman cannot even bench press that much. Let Mr Menchetti provide a video showing him putting the plates on the bar and actually bench pressing that amt of weight and maybe we just might believe him. We reserve judgement on the elvis impersonation due to the fact that we never had the pleasure of hearing him sing.

Like nearly every article done, its filled w/mistakes &/or misunderstandings.

The Elvis impersonator thing is a joke. I’ve told the story several times, & its always prefaced by… when I flip out, or lose it. To take it seriously, you’d have to assume i’m going to flip out.

I didn’t need to claim anything re: bench press or anything else. The photographer Mark Mirto? came to the gym w/me & saw it for himself.

There’s also a videography thing on Courant.com thats better than the article.

405 – dang. I agree with Joe though. 405 is impressive, however it does not mean he can shed a block in the NFL nor protect a QB’s blindside. Still that is a lot of weight! That was a pretty in depth article. I like the pics.

Bob you look like you bench pressed a few back in the day. Did you ever play football?
