SeacoastOnline reports that Joe Menchetti won the first qualifier for the Lobster Roll Eating Challenge on September 11 at the Hampton Beach (NH) Seafood Festival.

    “Gentleman Joe” Menchetti said he can devour 41 hot dogs in 10 minutes as he has proven on the television show “Ripley’s Believe It or Not!”

    Joe, you didn’t eat the buns. Not exactly telling it like it is.

    Also, why waste your time with this contest? If you win, you get $600. But you’ll have wasted your time and your money and your comfort to travel to New Hampshire twice. That’s a horrible deal.

    joe is in his low 20″s tops for hdb”s. the 2 trips makes no sensce econimically is true, unless yoir a diehard and this is what u enjoy doing.
