Vitthaya Morawong posted a picture of Joey Chestnut at Gold Curry in Bangkok, where he finished a 6kg (13.2 lb.) curry challenge in 27:30 on November 18, 2013 according to the restaurant's facebook. Joey says he intends to attempt the 10kg challenge in the future.

    Why wouldn’t he? An open restaurant challenge isn’t really considered an organized competitive eating event or exhibition outside of IFOCE. Or he could have also gotten approval from IFOCE to do this.

    Restaurant challenges aren’t allowed either. Obviously they haven’t offered you a contract.

    @ 8:38, Lol I know I can read. Show or tell me the clause and wording in the contract that would exclude open restaurant challenges.

    Every ranked eater should just start doing paid challenges, it’s not like they have the power or balls to kick everybody out.

    505 i totally agree. The rankings mean very little . They are only put out there so mean spirited haters that are no longer with the organization can mock and ridicule those that have been dropped signifigantly

    Starting today as a reminder that the Shea brothers control none of us, we should start doing eating challenges. But of course the loyalists that have a nice cushy spot in the ranking will never comply
