This week’s edition of Sports Illustrated (print version only, not online) has a short interview with Joey Chestnut in a sidebar. Joey says that his most embarrassing moment occurred when his mother called out his name during the Stockton Asparagus Festival and that he would increase prize payouts if he was the commissioner of the IFOCE.

    The way Joey handled O&A’s “Nathan’s Dump” questions for a solid 15 minutes the other day, I figure he can handle anything…great job champ! 🙂

    I didn’t know until we were both on the phone, I figured someone would’ve mentioned it by now ..they were trying to recruit him for the next egg nog contest ..I don’t see THAT happening …for my sake! 😉

    Does he mean increase payouts to fourth through sixth place (as some contests have done), or increase payouts to first place? Hmmm….lemme guess.
