Joey vs. Kobayashi in P’Zones May 30

World hot dog-eating champion Joey Chestnut and arch-rival Takeru Kobayashi will face off on Saturday, May 30, 2009, in one of the greatest battle of their careers: The Pizza Hut P’Zone Chow-lenge. The five-minute event featuring the monster 12″-inch, one-pound P’Zones will take place at Sony Studios in Los Angeles, and portions of the contest will be aired on SpikeTV’s Guys Choice Awards in June.
Kobayashi was to participate in a P’Zone exhibition in 2007 but declined due to “jawthritis”. Joey Chestnut took his place (video)

What exactly will be exciting about watching two guys eat 7 or 8 P’zones each? Neither one cares about the contest. No viewer can relate to the food because no one eats P’zones. And the two contestants won’t even eat a lot of them. I think I would rather watch whatever is on Versus.

I cannot wait to see the results. these are the best two eaters EVER!!! It will probably be very close, and might end up coming down to the end stuff. I would not be too surprised if one of the eaters tanked this contest in hopes of throwing off their competition for the fourth.

People associate much more with Joey than Pat. Koby and Joey have all the major titles (Nathans and Krystals) this millenium.
