I love the fact that Juan will destroy Travis Fowler & all the others. Noone has his speed or capacity. I did 33 in 5 minutes but knew he’d set a new Vegas record. He is sneaky waiting for the last wing off to qualify only to beat the current record by one & on purpose. Must be nice Juan to know you’re already the winner. lol

Whoever wins it will deserve it as this is not a rigged competition. I saw you eat 33 and you looked good. If Juan wins it, awesome. But Travis is a salt of the earth guy and doesn’t put a lot of practice into eating, he is a very natural eater and frankly one of the nicest individuals I have met at an eating contest. I have zero chance of winning and it is likely I will end up watching the final 2 minutes from the standpoint of the crowd. I was hoping to see you in the finals until I saw they did the fucking DQ thing on the video. I am not as pessimistic on the chances of Travis or another eater beating Juan however, I think it can be done.

They don’t care if you have done pro contests apparently as both Fowler and I have done at least 1 IFOCE contest (maybe others). I don’t know what their definition is and it doesn’t seem fair since Tom is not signed with any eating organization. IFOCE says they invite amateurs to eat with the Pros so even doing a pro contest with the IFOCE certainly does not make one a professional. You certainly do not have to be a pro to do other contests.

@4:10 for starters, look at line 5 of eligibility portion of the rules stating “person can’t win $600 more than once in a six month period” N tom won the spaghetti contest in Nov ($1000) which is grounds for disqualification

I don’t know why. But if it was just for being in another contest then, that cannot possibly be the reason or I too would be thrown out as well as others. It is rather silly because I think this would be a better contest with those guys in it (gilbert, toro). There is no way that it wouldn’t make the contest better. It probably isn’t based on skill level either since in my opinion some of the amateurs here are equally skilled as those that were dq’d. Maybe it is based on money earned eating. It is the only thing that makes sense but that seems like a lot of work for a radio station to do to disqualify somebody. Maybe after friday I can get an answer from the people that made the decision. Although probably it is more like just the prevailing attitude that those two were dq’d in wing bowl one they should be dq’d again. No concrete answer for you @4:10, while I personally know most of the people by now I do not know why the dq’s. I am sure El Toro in a video game doesn’t help.

“Eligibity portion,” “rules,” “six month period” of earnings, and you guys slam MLE for providing eaters with no freedom, Sheez. This guy ate there, and this guy earned that, disqualify him — I thought all you indies were a happy group of people who just eat for a good time.

@Cutter I agree, it would be a much better show if they were allowed in. Had the shoes been on the other foot, n I won in Nov I’d except the fact n deal with it.
