A press release reports that the Major League Eating Wiiware game will be relased on July 14 as previously mentioned in a Ken Hoffman column.

    They’ve probably lost out on 10s of thousands of sales by waiting a week-and-a-half after Nathan’s to release it. Many, many people who would have been in the market then would probably have bought it just as a novelty, out out of sheer curiousity, given its low price. But that wave of enthusiasm has drastically waned.

    Is this a lesson in HOW NOT to maximize revenues? This is ludicrous!

    I’ll repeat myself for at least the 13th time, while I’m at it, so that even you can commit it to memory. In the last 2 years Joey has surprised me big time. I have to give him that.

    I admit when I’m wrong. I’ve no trouble doing that. I was was wrong in my statement that Joey would never beat Koby. Joey’s ability is very special, indeed.

    Joey is a great eater. However, he’s FAR from the greatest—-that’s Koby’s current domain. Koby is a 6-time world champion. Joey has a ways to go. If you can count, you’ll see that too.

    Watch what happens in Singapore …
