Kobayashi segment on CBS’ Sunday Morning

The authors of Freakonomics appeared on CBS’ Sunday Morning earlier this week to promote their new book, Think Like a Freak. A segment about Takeru Kobayashi doubling the Nathan’s record appeared in the video (starting around 3:50) (via Free Kobayashi)

Waterstones has a display of the UK edition, which has hot dogs on the cover in reference to the Kobayashi material.

If the author of this book or Kobe thinks people are stupid enough to buy it because the hidden secret to eating loads of hot dogs is mind over matter , then he must think we are very stupid

    Some of “us” are stupid.

But, people will buy the book because they are genuinely interested, and because Kobi remains THE ICON of competetive eating. No one will ever have the impact on CE that Kobi had. #LivingLegend!
